Second 2024 Summer Street Drumming Workshop: maracatu

Second in a set of 3 monthly workshops, this time in the style of maracatu

On Saturday 6th July we’re running the second of a set of 3 monthly workshops. Each one will focus on a different musical style – this time it’s Maracatu, from the north-east of Brazil.

Experience with drumming and rhythm is welcome but not essential – note that the tuition will be fast-paced, so we won’t spend a significant amount of time on the absolute basics.

• The workshops are separate (you don’t have to have attended the first to come to the second or the third)
• The cost is £15 per workshop
• Workshops run from 11am until 1pm on Saturdays
• The dates are 1st June, 6th July, and 3rd August
• The location is Greenside Parish Church, in central Edinburgh
